Simply wrap the shield around the pipe and attach the included wire to the capstan fasteners and you are done. Heatshield Armor stops so much more radiant heat than a traditional exhaust wrap, we have them sized to allow the proper gap on the exhaust pipe. This makes it warranty compliant with most OEM and aftermarket manufactures. This pipe heat shield is also customizable. The aluminum can be painted with any high-temperature engine or exhaust paint before it is installed on the pipe. These shields can also be trimmed to any desired length. Use a heavy-duty pair of scissors, measure twice and cut ones. To achieve the OEM finish, use a box cutter to trim back 1/4 inch of the insulation and fold the foil over on the edge. Unlike OEM and aftermarket heat shields that use stand offs to create a gap, the Heatshield Armor Pipe Kits seal directly onto the exhaust.
