Hedman HeddersHD Silver Long-Tube Headers For 67-91 GM 4WD Trucks with 283-40069830
Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing quality headers in the USA since 1954, and they've been manufacturing long and MID-LENGTH tube headers for Chevy trucks for nearly as long. Each set uses mild steel, smooth flowing, CNC mandrel bent tubes, that are hand-welded to ensure each pair is identical to the next. Hedman's unique, gasketless ball and socket collector design allows your Small Block Chevy exhaust system to bolt up, even if it is not perfectly aligned with the header collectors.
This set is part of Hedman's ELITE line of headers. Hedman ELITE headers have a heavy-duty design that uses stout 3/8 in. flanges, and thicker 14 gauge primary tubes. The heavier-duty construction of HEDMAN ELITE Hedders makes them ideal for high-performance engines and tow vehicles, both of which produce higher exhaust temperatures.
ELITE models have a MATTE-SILVER ceramic finish that can withstand temperatures up to 1400 degrees F. The coating looks great and keeps more heat in the tubes. This results in faster exhaust speeds for improved exhaust scavenging, and reduced underhood temperatures.
These LONG-TUBE headers fit 1967-1991 4WD 1/2 and 3/4 ton Chevy Trucks, Blazers and Suburbans, powered by a Small Block Chevy engine (check the application listings for exact fitment). The smooth 1-5/8 in. tube design provides ample exhaust flow to let your truck's 283-400 SB Chevy engine breathe easy, and produce maximum horsepower and torque.
Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts. No collector gasket is needed.
Hedman Hedders is so confident in the quality of its headers that these headers are factory backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The ceramic-metallic finish is covered by a 5-year factory warranty, in addition to Hedman's standard lifetime header warranty.
